Bike transport is a handover process, not just a loading task. The safest pickup starts with clear documents, condition evidence, accessory notes, and delivery contact details.
The Short Answer
Before handing over a bike, remove personal items, photograph all sides, note visible scratches, confirm fuel level, share RC and insurance, hand over keys as agreed, and record the destination contact.
Pickup Checklist
- RC copy and valid insurance details
- Customer ID and authorized handover person
- Photos of front, back, left, right, handlebar, mirrors, indicators, and panels
- Odometer and fuel-level photo
- Scratch and dent notes before loading
- Accessories removed or documented
- No loose belongings, documents, helmet, or valuables left with the bike
- Destination contact name and phone
Why Pickup Photos Matter
Photos create a baseline. If scratches or panel issues are noticed after delivery, pickup evidence helps separate pre-existing condition from transit damage.
Accessories and Loose Items
Side bags, phone holders, helmets, documents, rain covers, and loose accessories are not ordinary cargo unless explicitly accepted and documented. Remove them before pickup.
Delivery Inspection
At delivery, inspect visible panels, mirrors, indicators, handlebar, stand, number plate, and accessories that were documented at pickup. Photograph any visible issue before closing the delivery.
Use vehicle transport when the move is only for a bike or car, and use household shifting when it should be bundled with home goods.
